Top 5 Padel Courts in Marbella: Where to Play on the Costa del Sol

Marbella, Costa del Sol, Spain

Padel and Marbella go hand in hand. The sport was brought to Spain in the late 1970s by Alfonso de Hohenlohe, who built the first courts at the Marbella Club, and the town has been a padel hotspot ever since. Today you'll find courts in hotels, residential developments, tennis clubs and giant purpose-built complexes.

Whether you're a complete beginner who wants a relaxed game with friends or a serious player looking for competition-standard courts, Marbella has a club for you. After exploring the coast, I put together my shortlist of the five padel venues I'd recommend most.

Here are my top five padel courts in Marbella.

1. Los Naranjos Padel Club: The Biggest Padel Complex in Andalusia

Los Naranjos Golf Club, Marbella | Best for big-venue energy and serious players

If you want to see padel on a grand scale, Los Naranjos Padel Club is the one to visit. It's one of the largest padel clubs in Spain and the biggest in Andalusia, set within the grounds of the prestigious Los Naranjos Golf Club.

There are 18 padel courts in total, made up of 12 outdoor courts, 4 acoustically treated indoor courts, an individual practice court and a panoramic competition court built to Premier Padel standards. There are also two pickleball courts if you fancy trying something different.

Courts: 18 padel courts plus 2 pickleball courts.

Best for: Serious players, groups of friends and anyone who wants top-quality facilities.

Worth knowing: The indoor courts are a great option on very hot or windy days, so ask about them when you book.

2. Real Club Pádel Marbella: A Marbella Favourite Near Puerto Banús

Nueva Andalucía, near Puerto Banús | Best for an established, full-service club

Real Club Pádel Marbella is one of the most established padel facilities in the area. It sits close to Puerto Banús, which makes it an easy option if you're staying on the Golden Mile or in Nueva Andalucía.

It has professional-standard courts, a well-regarded gym and a restaurant, so you can combine a game with a workout and a bite to eat afterwards. It's a friendly place to play, whatever your level.

Courts: Around ten padel courts.

Best for: Visitors staying near Puerto Banús and players who like a club with a gym and restaurant.

Worth knowing: Courts are popular in the evenings, so book ahead for prime time slots.

3. Puente Romano Tennis Club: Padel History on the Golden Mile

Golden Mile, Marbella | Best for a classic, prestigious setting

Puente Romano Tennis Club is one of the most exclusive racket clubs in Marbella, and it has a special place in padel history. It was a key venue in the early growth of the sport, and it has been a World Padel Tour venue.

The club is best known for its excellent clay courts, but it also has four padel courts. The setting is beautiful, and it's easy to combine a match with a stay or a meal at the Golden Mile's top spots.

Courts: 4 padel courts, alongside clay and hard tennis courts.

Best for: Players who want a prestigious, polished setting on the Golden Mile.

Worth knowing: It's a small number of courts for a very popular club, so reserve early.

4. Manolo Santana Racquets Club: A Relaxed Club with a Famous Name

Carretera Istán, Marbella | Best for a friendly, all-round racket club

Founded in 1997 by tennis legend Manolo Santana, this club was created to make the sport more accessible, and that welcoming spirit is still part of its charm.

It offers both tennis and padel in a relaxed setting, with a gym, a restaurant and a shop that stocks the main tennis and padel brands, with staff on hand to give advice. Several padel courts have night lighting, so you can play in the cooler evening hours.

Courts: Multiple padel courts with night lighting, plus tennis courts.

Best for: Families, mixed-ability groups and visitors who want a sociable club atmosphere.

Worth knowing: If you need new gear, the on-site shop is handy for rackets and accessories.

5. Nueva Alcántara Club: Padel with Real Competition Roots

Nueva Alcántara, Marbella | Best for training and competitive play

My last pick is Nueva Alcántara Club, often called NAC Marbella. It's one of the biggest padel facilities in the area, with around 15 courts spread over several zones, and it is home to a high-performance academy.

The club has hosted events from the A1 Padel circuit and from regional and international padel federations, so the standard of play here is high. It's a good choice if you want to take lessons or watch some strong matches.

Courts: Around 15 professional-grade padel courts.

Best for: Players who want coaching, competition and a bigger club environment.

Worth knowing: Check which courts are open to non-members before you travel.

Which Padel Club Is Right for You?

Los Naranjos is the one for scale and top-level facilities. Real Club Pádel Marbella is the convenient favourite near Puerto Banús. Puente Romano is the prestigious Golden Mile option. Manolo Santana Racquets Club is the friendly all-rounder. And Nueva Alcántara Club is the place for training and competition.

A few tips before you play:

  • Book courts as early as you can, especially for evenings and weekends.

  • Ask whether rackets and balls can be rented if you're travelling light.

  • Wear shoes made for padel or tennis, as the courts can be slippery.

  • Play early or late in the day to avoid the strongest heat.

Padel is easy to pick up and addictive to play, so even if you've never tried it, Marbella is a great place to start. If you'd like to see where I stayed along the coast, take a look at my hotel guides too.
