The Beach Clubs in Marbella I Keep Going Back To

If your idea of a good day involves stretching out on a sunbed with your partner, trading sips of cocktails as the sky slowly melts into sunset  or if you’d rather spend the whole afternoon dancing with your friends - Marbella has a beach club for whatever mood you're in. Summer is when these places truly buzz, but a few stay open during the quieter months, which is perfect if you like things a bit more relaxed.

And honestly… is there anything better than warm sand, a light breeze, and just the right music drifting around you? I love a good day in a beach club even when I have work to do - laptop out, sunglasses on, pretending I’m being productive while actually people-watching. I’m not exactly a wild party person, but Marbella’s beach clubs have this charm that pulls you in. Maybe it’s the food, maybe it’s the crowd, maybe it’s the “why rush anything?” feeling - whatever it is, it works.

So if you’re wondering which places actually deserve a spot on your list, here are the beach clubs that keep coming up - the well-known favourites, the ones my friends won’t stop recommending, and the ones I secretly keep going back to myself.

Cocoa Beach Club (Cabopino)

Address: C. de la Playa, s/n, 29604 Marbella, Málaga, Spain

If you’re staying anywhere near Cabopino, you pretty much have no excuse - Cocoa Beach Club is one of those places you just have to check out. Cabopino Beach is already one of the prettiest stretches of sand in Marbella, and right there, tucked into it, is this lovely beach club that somehow gets everything right.

In summer, it’s the perfect “drop your bag, jump in the water, order something cold, and pretend life has no deadlines” type of place. I’ve spent afternoons there half-working, half-sunbathing, and fully convincing myself that answering one email from a sunbed counts as productivity. Their lounge chairs are super comfy, and sipping cocktails while drying off in the sun is basically therapy.

Winter is a whole different charm - sunny days, quiet beach, and their outdoor seating where you can actually hear the waves instead of a DJ. Order a good meal, sit back, and let yourself slow down a bit. Their food is genuinely great. I’m not dramatic… but their Pil Pil Gambas? I could write a love letter. And the seafood dishes? Fresh, flavourful, and plated like they know you’re going to take a photo.

One thing I appreciate: their cocktails don’t come with those “Marbella prices” you sometimes have to mentally prepare for. They’re cheaper than many beach bars around, but still really good. Whether you’re into a sweet, show-offy Pornstar Martini or you’re sticking to a simple Mojito, they’ve got you covered.

The vibe overall is very laid-back - more “lazy day with music and drinks” than “party until your voice disappears.” They often have live music, and it fits the place perfectly.

The beach itself is lovely and usually not overcrowded. Last time I was there, sunbeds were around €10, and the service is great - waiters actually come around to take your drink order so you don’t have to move (dangerous for someone like me who already hates getting up). Food from the restaurant can also be brought right to your chair.

A couple of practical notes: parking can be a bit tricky since you’ll probably need to park at the marina for a small fee. And yes, you’ll see beach vendors walking by every now and then. They’re harmless, a quick “no thanks” works fine, but just know they’ll keep strolling past like they’re on a loop.

All in all, Cocoa Beach Club has this easygoing, friendly energy that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Great food, great beach, great cocktails, and no stress. If you’re looking for a chilled spot literally on the sand with proper seafood and a real beach-club-but-not-chaotic atmosphere - this is it.

Five stars in my book. And yes, I’m already planning my next visit.

Siroko Beach

Address: Av. Jardín de Los Pinos, 29604 Marbella, Málaga, Spain

Siroko Beach is one of those places that feels instantly easy - the kind of beach club where families feel at home, but you can just as easily show up with your partner or a couple of friends and still fit right in. It has this warm, unpretentious vibe that makes you settle in before you even realise it.

The restaurant itself is cosy - simple décor, but charming in that “we didn’t try too hard but somehow it works” way. Their menu has a bit of everything, but if you want a proper starting point, go straight for the chicken-and-truffle croquetas or the grilled squid. Both are the kind of dishes that make you pause mid-conversation because they’re thatgood.

The beach out front is gorgeous, with sunbeds available if you’re in the mood for a long, lazy day. And the live music? Honestly, better than you’d expect. There’s something about hearing a saxophone drift across the sand that makes life feel more cinematic than it probably is - in the best way. Order a couple of small plates, grab a cocktail, and just let the afternoon unfold.

One of the best things is that Siroko Beach is open all year, which is rare and honestly very appreciated. You don’t have to wait for summer to get that beach-club fix.

The last time I went, the whole experience felt almost too perfect - that mix of sea breeze, good food, slow service in the right way (as in, no one rushing you out), and a view that makes you forget anything stressful you had going on. We stayed until sunset, and that moment ended up being my favourite part of the day. There’s something about watching the sky change colours from a table right on the sand that stays with you longer than you expect.

I even caught myself making a little wish to come back next year with a whole group of friends and do it all again. And honestly? I plan to.

Amàre Beach Club

Address: Alfonso Cañas Nogueras, 29603 Marbella, Málaga, Spain

Amàre Beach Club belongs to the adult-only Hotel Amàre, which means everyone using the facilities, including the beach club, has to be over 16 - perfect if you want a more grown-up, relaxed vibe without kids running around.

The club itself is on the smaller side, but cosy in the best way. There are plenty of comfortable sunbeds to rent for the day, all spacious enough to really stretch out and soak up the sun. Prices change depending on the month or if there’s a special event, and of course, hotel guests get them for free.

The menu is a highlight in its own right - light, fresh, and just what you need on a hot Marbella day. Sushi, tropical prawn salads, salmorejo, tuna tartar… there’s enough variety to keep you happily snacking without feeling weighed down.

But honestly, what really makes Amàre stand out is the music. They have daily live sessions, and it completely lifts the vibe of the place. You can grab a cocktail, lounge in the sun, and let the tunes carry you through the afternoon. And speaking of cocktails, theirs are something special. Sure, they’ve got the classics like Mojitos, but their signature drinks are creative, boozy, and unique - you won’t find them anywhere else in town.

Chill, music, good drinks, and a grown-up beach vibe all in one spot - what more could you ask for?
