Hua Hin Part 2: Food Finds
Where I Actually Ate in Hua Hin (and Would Go Back in a Heartbeat) I didn’t come to Hua Hin with a food list. No saved maps, no foodie plan. Just a solo trip, some curiosity, and a decent appetite. A few days in, after roaming around, sweating a lot, and saying yes to random places, I ended up with a handful of spots I really liked. Here’s where I went. No fluff. Just places I’d honestly tell a friend to check out.
Parrotdise Organic Cafe
This one’s a bit outside the center, tucked away in the quieter part of town. You’ll need a scooter or a short drive to get there, but it’s peaceful and genuinely worth the trip. It’s run by a Dutch–Thai couple who really care about what they’re doing. The vegetables are homegrown and organic, the pasta’s homemade with all kinds of natural flavours, and the place has a proper farm feel. There are parrots, goats, chickens, even geese wandering around like it’s their turf. I had the spinach pasta with a mushroom sauce and I’d order it again without thinking. It’s a great lunch spot, especially if you want something slower, calmer, and a bit different from the typical town cafes. If you’re into animals or travelling with kids, it’s even better. If not, just come for the food and the quiet.
Anantasila Beach Restaurant
I found this by chance and ended up going twice once for lunch, once for dinner. It’s beachfront, casual but elegant. You can sit with your feet in the sand, sea breeze on your face, and not feel like you need to be dressed up. Daytime is peaceful. Nighttime is a little magical. They’ve got string lights in the trees, live music playing, and this warm atmosphere that just feels right. The night I went, some kids were flying kites near the water. It felt very alive but still calm. The food? A mix of Mediterranean and Thai. I had the tuna tartare and a simple chicken broth soup. Both were great. Service was friendly and professional. Nothing over-the-top just a well-run place with good energy.
White Lotus, Hilton Rooftop
If you’re looking for a nice dinner spot with a view, this is it. White Lotus is on the 17th floor of the Hilton and gives you a full view of Hua Hin ocean, city, mountains, the works. The vibe is more upscale, so it’s a good one to save for the end of your trip or if you want to treat yourself. I went just before sunset, and the sky was unreal. The food and service were solid, but honestly, I was there for the view and the quiet. The staff were genuinely lovely. Not pushy, just attentive and kind. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and take it all in.
Tamarind Market
If you’re in town on a weekend evening, go. Tamarind is like a night market but more curated, cleaner, and way more relaxed than the usual chaos. When I arrived, it was packed, and I wasn’t even sure I’d find a table. But people move around a lot and there’s usually space somewhere. I grabbed a smoothie and some grilled corn, sat down, and just started sampling from stall to stall. Seafood, noodles, skewers, fried things, fresh juices you’ll find a bit of everything. No pressure, no shouting. There’s a stage with live music, and it feels more like a chill hangout than a market. There’s not much shopping here, which honestly I liked. It’s really just about food and music. Definitely one of my favorite nights in Hua Hin.
